Dr Peter McCombe Orthopaedic Surgeon Brisbane

Dr Peter McCombe has undertaken a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1977, at University of Queensland. Dr McCombe is also a Senior Honorary Lecturer at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. He is Chairman of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (Queensland branch) and the Department of Orthopaedics at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr McCombe’s previous roles include Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, Brisbane as well as President and Secretary of the Spine Society of Australia.

Dr McCombe has a special interest in conditions of the spine. He has designed and patented two implants, leading to successful manufacture; they are now commonly used in spinal fusion surgery. Dr McCombe continually undertakes research in spinal matters and has been published in several publications, such as the European Spine Journal. He also regularly presents at conferences worldwide, with his most recent being the Ageing Spine Symposium in Melbourne. Dr McCombe consults in Brisbane on a monthly basis, assessing spinal conditions and injuries only.

Dr Peter McMeniman graduated from the University of Queensland with MBBS. In 1977 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and subsequently became a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Dr Peter Trembath has retained a major involvement as a specialist physician in respiratory medicine since 1975. The bulk of his clinical practice in hospital consulting and in his rooms has been attending and assessing patients with respiratory disease. He is a member of the faculties of old age and forensic psychiatry.
